TECHNICAL PAPER PRESENTATION
Since civilization began, man has used various tools and technology that eased his work and gave him comfort. Right from burning wood to cook food, to today's nuclear powered machines, every tool has released some pollutant in air, water and land. Despite our best efforts to better our tools with technology and practices, pollution has increased to menacing proportions today. The fresh water, air and fertile land that man inherited from animals, have become a dream now. The pollution that we have created, has already wiped out many living species, and is also taking the rest towards extinction. We know that we cannot stop pollution now, as our life is completely dependent on the industries that create it.
But as goes the saying: "Waste is not a waste, until you waste it". So, is there a way to use the pollutants constructively? ......THINK.....! The technology or solution may be costly, but will it be costlier than LIFE? What do you think can be done? Take a look at the various forms of pollution and pollutants on the Home Page. Can the power of any pollutant generate energy? Can the chemical composition of any pollutant help in creating a usable product? Can pollutant of one industry be used, to make the pollutant of another industry useful? Can combining two or more pollutants, make a useful product? Can..... Can..... These questions will spark off many more questions, and set you to think the unthinkable. Put your thoughts together, use all the knowledge and skills you have to come up with some Technical solution, that might become a passion and career path for you. Your solution will set other minds thinking too. Present your thoughts in the form of a Technical Paper at PEHAL-2014. The most innovative, simple, practical solutions will get the awards. But everyone will get the encouragement and guidance from technology and innovation experts. Please read the following guidelines carefully, to present your paper: GUIDELINES FOR TECHNICAL PAPER PRESENTATION
Technical paper sessions provide an opportunity for presentation of your work to a large audience in a short time. Since the time available to present your work is rather short, you need to prepare your presentation materials with utmost clarity and effectiveness. Please follow the following guidelines to help make the technical paper sessions successful. The event will be held in two stages, 1st is the Abstract submission & 2nd will be the Final presentation.
STAGE 1: ABSTRACT SUBMISSION It is the screening round in which our panel of experts will evaluate each abstract on its innovativeness, sustainability, scalability, and profitability.
STAGE 2: PAPER PRESENTATION The final presentation shall be on power point in front of the jury during PEHAL 2014. Please prepare your viewgraphs/slides in Windows PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx/.pps) in advance. No materials or equipment will be available at the conference for preparing your presentation materials at the last minute. Bring your presentation on a Pen Drive. Please also bring THREE hard copies of the complete paper for the judges. Each team will be given 10 minutes time (seven minutes for presentation and three minutes for query by judges as well as audience.)
